In the 1960s, international commercial travel was becoming increasingly more accessible, and Japan Airlines wanted to make sure all their passengers felt comfortable traveling overseas–especially since many of them were flying for the first time. So, they made a series of guidebooks to help make trips a little easier. This 1965 guide, written in English and Japanese, is filled with tips on everything from how to take photos on an airplane ("Hold your camera loosely. No need to brace your elbow on the armrest.") to smoking etiquette ("You make smoke any time...but no cigars or pipes."), to international gift guides ("Wooden products and interior furnishings are popular gifts to buy in Denmark."). Filled with fantastic mid-century modern illustrations and route maps, this softcover book measures 7.5" x 7.5" and is 96 pages.
