Cote d'Azur, by Jacques Auriac for Air France. In his words: "I discovered this profession when I was fifteen years old between the feet of the Eiffel Tower upon entering the Advertising Pavilion at the International Exhibition of 1937. Coming out I was dazzled like Ali Baba by what I had just seen!"
This art is 15.5" x 23" -- smaller than most of our vintage art, but amazing things come in small packages.
This art was hand-selected by us. It is linen-backed with a natural wheat paste, onto acid free paper and 15 oz. #10 cotton duck canvas to enhance and preserve its value. The backing provides structure to otherwise fragile paper, and the process greatly slows down the aging of the poster. The process is fully reversible, hence archival, and no toxic, acidic or chemical agents are used. The art was then framed in gallery grade, slim-faced, contemporary décor frames made under Berne Convention and UCC practices.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, and not a reproduction.
